Marquette Gives Back

It’s been almost a month since the holidays ended, yet we still would like to acknowledge some amazing work accomplished by our properties during the season of giving. From toy drives to volunteering to fundraising efforts, our teams went the extra mile this year.

Here are a few accomplishments we’re especially proud of.

Toys for Tots

collecting toys

Our 4th Annual Toys for Tots was quite the success! Marquette communities across the country collected a total of 1,641 toys to be dispersed to deserving families. Our top collectors were Maple Knoll apartments with 150 toys, Main Street Village with 137 toys, and The Haven of Ann Arbor with a whopping 132 toys!

Loaves & Fishes

friends volunteering

In the spirit of the holidays, our Corporate office employees visited Loaves & Fishes, a nonprofit that aims to end hunger and transform lives in the community. They packed over 400 meals to be dispersed to families in the surrounding community.

North Texas Food Bank

a food drive

Our friends over at Marquette at Preston Park as well as their regional manager spent a day volunteering at the North Texas Food Bank to pack food for local families in need. They also committed to hosting a food drive at the property from January through February.

Maple Knoll Partnership

people volunteering/fixing up a house

Maple Knoll apartments partnered with local vendors as well as the United Way to fix up the home of a disabled senior citizen. From new landscaping to fresh paint to LED lighting, and new flooring, it was a miraculous transformation!

These are just a few of the charitable efforts Marquette pursued in 2017, and there’s more to come in 2018!
